‘Leading the Sector’ - National Heritage Lottery Fund, May 2020

A professional development course in Digital Leadership for a cohort of 16 leaders from medium-to-large heritage organisations across the UK. With this group I shared my research insights alongside my personal beliefs about the role of the arts and cultural sectors: to be consistently provocative, risk-taking and community focused in the work that they do.

‘Arts, Creativity and Culture - Celebrating Art Education,’ Southbank Centre, Sept 2019.

As part of the City of London’s Cultural and Creative Strategy I spoke about Southbank Centre’s Arts Explorers project, a 3-year collaboration with 6 Lambeth primary schools at an event hosted to celebrate arts and cultural education, place school teachers at the heart of arts and culture in the curriculum and highlight the opportunity the Chartered College of Teaching presents in championing the expertise of school teachers.

‘One by One’ Roadshow, The Tetley, Leeds, Feb 2020

Digital Literacy and skills workshop held for small to medium sized museums in the north of England. I spoke to museums and heritage organisations in Leeds about how digital courage had been developed at Royal Pavilion & Museums in Brighton & Hove as a result of my role as ‘change agent’ in that context.

Space Invaders Podcast workshop, Museum of London, Feb 2020

In February 2020, Hannah Hethmon, Executive Producer at Bitter Lemon Audio and author of Your Museum Needs a Podcast, and I joined activist group Space Invaders at the Museum of London to run a workshop about making a podcast for their campaign to claim equal space for women in heritage.

‘Enabling Digital Confidence in Museums,’ talk at Museum Association Conference, Brighton, Oct 2019

With Kevin Bacon, Digital Manager at Royal Pavilion & Museums Brighton & Hove, I presented to the conference audience my thoughts on what it means to be a digital change agent in a museum in the 21st century, drawing on my findings from the ‘One by One’ project.
